Hemingway. Garcia Marquez. Many great novelists have at some stage been journalists, or still are. Journalism is indeed a formidable training ground for the aspiring writer, as Hemingway always asserted.

My own diverse journalism writing has often been a springboard to the fiction writing which is at the heart of my writing purpose. But in this article below I have merged the two, creating a unification of fiction and journalism which attempts to bring the reader to the blustery center of the moving, moved, movable times and people of current day Madrid.

With protesters of the ‘Spanish Revolution’ attempting to create an altogether new way of thinking, of living, of being a human being in our exceedingly selfish modern society, the visit to ‘Hotel Homeless’ can become a very personal experience indeed…
